Galivants Ferry Sawmill in Horry County

Investing over $10 million

CONWAY, SC – Galivants Ferry Sawmill announced plans to open a sawmill operation in Horry County. The company will invest more than $10 million in addition and will employ 18 new employees.

The Galivants Ferry Sawmill is in Galivants Ferry, South Carolina, and is the sister company to SB Mulch, Johnson Land and Timber (JLT), and Beach Mulch. The facility will assist the surrounding loggers in the area and help alleviate the changes brought on by the closing of the Georgetown and surrounding mills. The construction of the new sawmill will help supply railroad ties, pallet manufacturers, landscapers, wastewater treatment facilities, and businesses that utilize waste fiber in their boilers.

A family-owned business that has expanded in Horry County to offer various services and products to diversify our local economy and support loggers, truck drivers, mill operators, and more. The facility has plans to see additional growth over the next several years.

The rural area facility is located outside of Aynor in the Galivants Ferry area and has been undergoing construction of the mill for almost a year. Available positions will be advertised by the company on Indeed.
