November 16, 2012 – Conway, S.C. – On Thursday, November 15, 2012 the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation held an Annual Economic Development Retreat at Coastal Carolina University.

“The goal off the event is to bring everyone together in our area to talk about the current state and future of economic development in Horry County. We feel this event was well attended and was extremely successful. Some of the topics covered in the retreat were confidentiality, the site-selection and location process, incentives and product development. We are very pleased with the way the event turned out and thank everyone who attended for investing their time in the retreat, ” said Brad Lofton, MBREDC President & CEO.
The event was held in the Wall Building on CCU’s campus from 8:00am – 2:00pm. Bob Goforth, an economic development and site selection professional with more than 50 years of industry experience served as the Facilitator. Goforth currently works with Sanford Holshouser of North Carolina and specializes in retreat events focusing on economic development efforts.
