“I am very proud and honored to receive this economic development ambassador award.  I consider job creation a very important mission here in Horry County.  I'm happy to be a part of the positive change and momentum we are currently seeing from the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corp.  For the first time, our community is on the map when it comes to recruitment.  It's an exciting time to be a part of job creation in Horry County,” said Ebbie Phillips, Tyson Signs President.

This is the 22nd year the South Carolina Department of Commerce has recognized honorees in each South Carolina County for their economic development efforts.  Phillips is currently serving his second term on the MBREDC Executive Committee.  He is the Secretary for the Executive Committee and also Co-Chairs the Marketing and Membership Committee.

“There is no one more deserving of this award than Ebbie Phillips.  We are so proud to have him in our leadership, and he works tirelessly to assist us in our job creation efforts.  Not only does he run a very successful sign business, but he serves in many leadership roles in this community and we can’t thank him enough for all he does for Horry County,” said Brad Lofton, MBREDC President & CEO.
