MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Josh Kay, President & CEO of the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation, announced today two appointments within the MBREDC. Sandy Davis was promoted to Vice President & COO and Sherri Steele was recently hired as the Director of Investor Relations.
Davis, who was previously serving as the Director of Operations and Project Management, will now serve as the Vice President & Chief Operations Officer (COO). Davis’ duties will continue to be focused on assisting with the recruitment and retention of businesses throughout Horry County as well as overseeing the financial management of the MBREDC. “Sandy is a very valuable member of the team within the MBREDC and is trusted by me and the entire MBREDC leadership to manage all facets of the MBREDC organization. This promotion not only clarifies the organizational structure of the MBREDC, but also validates the great work that Sandy has performed over the past few years.”
Steele has worked with the MRBEDC for the past six months in a part-time Administrative Support function. In that role, she learned a great deal about the operations of the MBREDC and our members and investors. In her new position, Sherri will work with our existing members and investors in ensuring a positive return-on-investment as well as recruiting new businesses and individuals to financially support the mission of the MBREDC. “Sherri is a wonderful addition to our team and I am excited about having her experience and enthusiasm in growing our private business support,” Kay stated.
Both appointments take effect immediately and they will be paramount in achieving the goals and objectives of the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation.
