Myrtle Beach is synonymous around the world as a world-class golf location. In fact, Myrtle Beach is known as the Golf Capital of the World. Ten Grand Strand courses were named to the 2007-2008 America's Top 100 Greatest Public Courses list in the May issue of Golf Digest.

Outlet malls, shopping centers and specialty shows are abundant in Myrtle Beach. Most notably is the Market Common District a world class shopping and dining experience which opened in 2008. Myrtle Beach is also home to over 2,000 restaurants featuring eclectic menus and at every price point.
Sports and Recreation
Myrtle Beach Pelicans - Class A Advanced Minor League Baseball franchise for the Atlanta Braves.
Boating, fishing, kayaking and hunting are plentiful in Horry County. Opportunities for water activities are not only found in the Atlantic Ocean, but also along the Intracoastal Waterway.
Arts and Culture
Brookgreen Gardens - boasts the largest sculptural gardens in the United States.
Long Bay Symphony - the region's professional orchestra, The Long Bay Symphony is now celebrating its 21st Anniversary Season. A youth orchestra was created in 1990. Click here.
Historic Downtown Conway - shopping, history and art galleries line this quaint village. Arts and music festivals are featured here throughout the year.
Theatre - Myrtle Beach boasts several theater options for the entire family including the world famous Carolina Opry. Coastal Carolina University also boasts theater productions in addition to the dinner theater and family entertainment options along the beach. There are various community theater troupes including Theatre of the Republic in Conway.
Museums - the Franklin G. Burroughs - Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum and the Children’s Museum of SC are just a few of the museums that support the local community.
